Our journey with Just Naturals Wellness Resort and Spa in Bhowali, Nainital, Uttarakhand, is a testament to our commitment to bringing people closer to nature and promoting holistic wellness.
What are Just Naturals?'
Just Naturals, as the name suggests, is all about reconnecting with Mother Nature. It's about providing experiences and tastes that are a true reflection of what nature has to offer. Our dream is to source materials in their most natural state, ensuring they reach consumers at their freshest. The idea is to replicate the flavors and experiences that many of us remember from our childhood. Beyond organic products, our focus is on delivering holistic wellness experiences for families, complete with refreshing and rejuvenating staycations.
At present, we operate a small but enchanting resort in Nainital. We're also working on another project with Jim Corbett. Our vision extends beyond providing a pristine environment; it encompasses delivering fresh mountain air, pure water, and organic food sourced mainly from Uttarakhand while also including ingredients from different parts of India.
Our journey with Just Naturals was significantly influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. We both experienced the limitations of living in high-rises, sharing common areas with multiple residents. As remote work became the norm, we realized the need for spaces that offered privacy and independence, eliminating the reliance on shared infrastructure. This realization fueled our desire to create independent villas and row houses where people could live comfortably without sacrificing their health and wellness.
The Strategy of Just Naturals-
Choosing Bhowali, Uttarakhand, as our location was a strategic move. The region boasts excellent internet connectivity, making it ideal for remote work. With virtually no power cuts and a serene environment, it became the perfect canvas for our wellness initiative to evolve.
Wellness is not just a buzzword for us; it's at the heart of everything we do. Our resort features a restaurant where we emphasize simple, flavorsome food that brings out the natural goodness of the mountains. We want our guests to experience fresh air, pure water, and the tastiest, freshest food during their stay.
Starting this journey two years ago, we faced challenges with weak infrastructure. However, our determination led us to build essential facilities, including a multipurpose hall that can accommodate up to 100 people. Now, we're diving into a comprehensive wellness approach that encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. This involves collaborating with spiritual gurus and offering Ayurvedic Kerala-style spa treatments to create a 360-degree wellness experience.
While Just Naturals is a commercial venture, we wanted it to be accessible to a wide range of people. Apart from wellness retreats and yoga sessions, we designed our multipurpose hall to host destination weddings, functions, birthday parties, and more. Our goal is to provide affordable destination wedding experiences that fulfill the dreams of many.
We pride ourselves on offering villas instead of typical hotel rooms. These villas are spacious, offering a one-bedroom configuration with an in-suite bathroom, a dining room, lounge, and a powder room. Families can opt for two connected rooms, offering flexibility, privacy, and even private gardens.
Our spa, introduced just this year, focuses on therapeutic treatments. With two Canadian masseuses who previously worked in Kerala, we offer a range of Ayurvedic-led therapies. We also provide dietary consultations and detox plans to address the holistic well-being of our guests.
Specialty of Just Naturals-
What sets us apart is our commitment to offering these services at a reasonable cost. While many places have excellent facilities, it's challenging to find a high-quality spa and therapeutic massages. Our aim is to heal and rejuvenate our guests, addressing common health issues through simple dietary changes and basic treatments.
Our first year was filled with excitement and learning. We offered numerous freebies, experimented with experiential marketing, and ventured into traditional e-commerce platforms. Despite initial challenges, we gained valuable insights into the hospitality industry.
Now, we're focused on improving our online presence through an upgraded website and active digital marketing strategies. We're also participating in trade shows and local events to connect with potential guests and partners.
Future of Just Naturals-
Our journey doesn't end here. We have more projects in the pipeline, including an international standard yoga retreat near Jim Corbett. We're deeply passionate about exploring hidden products and ingredients from different regions of India to enrich our guests' experiences.
One aspect we take great pride in is our commitment to the local economy. Every employee at our resort is a local resident, and we source our artifacts, paintings, and decor from the local community. We believe in giving back to the community that has supported us.
