Tata Motors is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle (EV) market with the introduction of the much-anticipated Tata Curvv EV. As a coupe SUV, the Curvv EV is initially launching as an electric vehicle, with plans to introduce internal combustion engine (ICE) variants in the future.

Shailesh Chandra, the Managing Director of Tata Motors, inaugurated the launch event, highlighting that EVs currently account for 12% of Tata Motors' overall sales—a clear indication of the company's growing commitment to electric mobility.

The Tata Curvv EV maintains much of the bold and futuristic design seen in its concept form. Key design elements include:

  • Striking Front End: The front of the Curvv EV is dominated by a continuous LED light bar that stretches across the vehicle’s width, creating a distinctive look.

  • Battery Variants: In addition to the top-spec option, a 45 kWh battery pack is also available, with real-world range estimates of up to 350 km for the 45 kWh version and 425 km for the 55 kWh version.

  • Fast Charging Capabilities: The Curvv EV supports DC fast charging, allowing drivers to quickly recharge and get back on the road.
