Audi, the well-known German luxury car manufacturer, has recently introduced an innovative feature called "Charge my Audi" on their myAudiConnect app. This initiative aims to provide Audi e-Tron customers with convenient access to multiple electric vehicle charging partners through a single app, enhancing customer convenience. The application currently includes five charging partners: Aargo EV Smart, Charge Zone, Relux Electric, LionCharge, and Zeon Charging, all powered by the Numocity Technologies eMSP roaming solution. Until August 2023, Audi e-Tron customers can enjoy complimentary charging across this network.
Charge my Audi offers a range of features that help customers efficiently plan their driving routes. Customers can easily identify charging stations along the way, check charging terminal availability, start and stop charging, and make payments through a single payment gateway. Soon, additional charge points will be incorporated into Charge My Audi, expanding the current selection of over 750 available for Audi e-Tron owners. Mr Christian Cahn von Seelen, Executive Director of Volkswagen Group Sales India and Member of the Board has expressed the group's commitment to electric mobility and the development of the charging ecosystem. He highlighted that initiatives like Charge My Audi strengthen the practicality of owning an electric vehicle and cater to the increasing demand for luxury electric cars. Mr Dhillon, another Audi representative, added that the extensive charging network, in collaboration with their partners, helps alleviate range anxiety and provides e-Tron owners with a seamless ownership experience. They are determined to significantly expand the number of charging points available to Audi e-Tron owners.
One of the main advantages of Charge My Audi is the elimination of the need to download multiple applications. Through the "myAudiConnect App," e-Tron customers can initiate the charging process, while automated identification and billing procedures occur simultaneously, streamlining the overall experience. The technology and roaming platform powering Charge My Audi are provided by Numocity Technology's MSP platform. In India, Audi offers several electric models, including the Audi e-Tron 50, Audi e-Tron 55, Audi e-Tron Sportback 55, Audi e-Tron GT, and Audi RS e-Tron GT. Additionally, they plan to launch the new Audi Q8 e-Tron in the country later this year.
